Howdy Everyone! Its been quite a bit, hasn't it? I mean, I am for ONCE in time (enough) for a Monthly update, even if just 10 days late. So, let's see what i've got in store this time!
Yup, as you read, the server is not only done, but it's feature complete!
Now, you may be wondering "What are you even gonna use a server for?", well, while I'd say "run this webpage", I've yet to get my own Gitea instance working, and I don't really wanna do that yet .w.'
What I do have now, though, is the following!
And probably much more I don't remember.
So, you may be wondering "Why do I even care about your server?", well, I've got news for you! I wanna stress test it with the hardest task EVER. Running a Minecraft Modded Server with a bunch of mods and players.
Of course, you may be like "Oh but how could we join?", That's even easier! if you click This click right here, You'll be redirected to the Discord server! Once we get enough players, We'll launch and start the server massacre!
Aside from that, I dunno? Not much else, that's for sure.
So, as I said before, when working with my server, I wanted to get my SIP credentials so I could use my server for calls through the landline! Of course, to do that, I had two options, Either Go to my ISP and be like "hey can I get the credentials?" (They'd likely say no), or use a vulnerability when you factory reset the ISP router to get the data by force. Guess which one I used.
With that path chosen, I used a small oversight found on the router Vodafone gives customers most of the time (Not the modern one), and, of course, pretty much used it to get them. What was my process? Well...
While I'm not sure if it's entirely legal, so far they haven't complained or even done anything soooo.
Also, while I wanted SIP creds for the landline, I also got stuff like PPPoE, The Router's Per user admin password, and more!
And yes, the router, once it connects to the ISP, reconfigures itself to have a Per user admin password, that only THEY know. kinda bs but oh well.
Yup, I moved to Arch (mostly).
You may be asking "Why not Mint, or Ubuntu?", well, because while they're good distros, I kinda like both the challenge from Arch, and it's just nice having something where I can just change everything, xd.
Right now, I'm running these specs :
And yes, I'm using GNOME. I've been thinking about moving to KDE, but I'm not 200% sure yet, I'll probably try it tho!
Also, this isn't my first rodeo with Arch! It's just that I just was like "Meh I'll just move to linux for a bit", and ended up with a 2nd NVMe ssd for arch so I can split Arch and Windows as much as possible
Yup, as I said last update, I was working on an end of year project for my school, which determines if I go to internships or I start from scratch next year. So far, it's been good! Stressful, yes, but also good!
Along with most stuff, there is a public page under my domain with the WordPress install, you may want to check it out, so head to this link here and you'll be able to check the page! Yes, it has a port. I don't know how to make a Reverse proxy sooo :<
Well, that's all for this entry! I'll try working on the page a bit more often, make sure to check the Memory part too! See you! ^^
